CROSSING THE FINISH: ATHLETE Director Dave's Blog

Spent the last five days in the Lake Placid area in upstate New York filming ATHLETE. Sunday's shoot took place at the Ironman USA triathlon. My day began at 3:30 am and ended 19 hours later at 10:30 at night. Definitely one of the most physically gruelling shoots to date.




But to be able to witness and capture the amazing moments that take place at an Ironman was well worth the pain and suffering (at least I didn't have to swim, bike, and run). Pics from race day are available on Flickr.

Just returned from a weekend shoot in Lake Placid and Tupper Lake, NY. Note to self: never take Amtrak upstate again (it's Con Air on train tracks). Thankfully, my time upstate was a lot more enjoyable than the train ride. I had the chance to film athlete Jenny and her teammates of TriLife, a New York City-based triathlon team, compete in the 25th annual Tinman Triathlon in Tupper Lake.
