A-LIST: INTERPOL / ARCTIC MONKEYS / SNEAKY SOUND SYSTEM
1. Our Love to Admire by Interpol Preview Tracks / Read Reviews
Just picked it up this morning and I've been listening to it all day. This is the third album by one of the best (and very underrated) indie rock bands around. Three of the four original members met while studying at NYU back in the late 90's. They're known for their distinctive guitar riffs and dark and moody lyrics (great for those really early morning runs).
2. Favourite Worst Nightmare by Arctic Monkeys

A great indie rock band from Sheffield, England who were the 2006 winners of the prestigious Mercury Prize for their first album, Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not (which was the fastest selling debut in UK history). Their second album is even better -- fast, upbeat, and furious.
3. Sneaky Sound System by Sneaky Sound System

I recently discovered this Australian electronic/pop band while watching a portion of the Live Earth concert. I had never heard of them or their music before but it only took one listen (and a few rewinds of my DVR) and I was hooked. The main draw is lead singer, Connie Mitchell, who has an amazing voice (like a soulful Pat Benatar). Their CD might be hard to come by in US stores, but luckily, it's available on iTunes.
Rock on.
