ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK

It's been almost 20 years since I've lived in a city that won a Super Bowl. The last time was in 1990 when my favorite team growing up, the Niners, won their fourth title against the Broncos ("Montana to Rice!"). From what I can remember, the City by the Bay was electric after their win.

But I don't think it ever got as wild as tonight's post-game celebrations in NYC. I witnessed the mayhem on 3rd Avenue in Midtown as Giants fans flooded the streets and stopped traffic to celebrate their team's Super Bowl XLII (42) victory.

Toilet paper in the air. Trash cans on the ground. It was madness (in an exciting way). Can't wait to check out Tuesday's parade. That should be like Thunderdome.
