FLICKR 10K

Oh yeah. Almost forgot. Views of my photos on Flickr recently crossed the 10,000 mark. Thanks to everyone who has viewed, commented, favorited, and even added me as a contact in the last year.

Funny that working on this documentary would lead me to my new-found passion for photography. Prior to this, only vacation photos. But if you really think about it, filmmaking and photography go hand in hand. Composition. Lighting. Subjects. Stories.

PS - Also thanks to everyone who's contributed photos to my page: Melissa Ferrara, Terry Jones, and Kellie and Mike, among others.

VOTE HARVEY DENT

The brilliant marketing campaign for the next Batman flick The Dark Knight continues with the current "I Believe in Harvey Dent" tour. It started last week and has hit cities across the US.

Apparently it didn't really resonate with those on the Lower East Side last Friday. Not the case this morning when a sizeable crowd showed up outside Central Park to greet the signature white van. Genius.

I know who I'm voting for this election year.

THE TING TINGS

Caught The Ting Tings tonight at Le Royale. Never heard of them? Me neither until recently. They're an up-and-coming UK electronic/pop duo. I heard one of their songs during Fashion Week and I've been hooked since.

Their first album comes out in May. In the meantime, check out their tracks on MySpace. You'll be hooked.

Many thanks to GBH/Robot Rock.

SUNDAY MIX TAPE

A little behind on my blog updates. Here's a random mix for Sunday.

1. Athlete Kellie's write-up of Chris Lieto's recent visit to Jacksonville was picked up by the official Trek blog. Nice work Kel.

2. Speaking of athlete Kellie. She recently finished second in her age group in the Marathon for Breast Cancer in Jacksonville and hit a new personal best of 3:12 (unreal). She attributes this faster time to her new coach Shawn Burke of Velocity Multisport (who was an Everyday Athlete Spotlight feature).

3. The Amazing Nora is not only a member of athlete Artie's team of Achilles guides, she's also a board member of The Tower of Hope. It's a great charity that offers service dogs to disabled veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. The second annual "Lighting the Path" fundraising event will be held in NYC on April 3rd. Tickets are available now.
