THE HIGH LINE

Visited the new High Line park in the Meatpacking District today. Before it became a public park, the High Line was a 1930's elevated rail line, once used by freight trains to haul meat and dairy.

Believe it or not, there was a 10-minute wait to get into the park ("wait, is this the line for the new iPhone?"). But, with work by architects Field Operations and Diller Scofidio + Renfro and financial support by the likes of fashion designer Diane Von Furstenberg, the park is definitely worth visiting.
